Bringing farming, science, and sustainability to life in Minecraft Education!
We’re excited to share the launch of our new flagship education project, Dairycraft – now available for free on Minecraft Marketplace and Minecraft Education!
Built in association with Dairy Farmers of Ontario, Dairycraft invites players to step into the world of dairy farming through an engaging, hands-on adventure. From learning how milk is produced to exploring the daily life of a farmer, this interactive experience combines fun gameplay with meaningful education.

Today’s students don’t just want to learn – they want to experience. That’s where Dairycraft comes in.
Designed for Minecraft Education, Dairycraft transforms the world of Ontario dairy farming into a dynamic, hands-on learning environment, giving students the chance to explore real farming methods, scientific concepts and sustainability challenges – all through the lens of immersive play.

Education through gaming works because it meets students in their natural state: curious, active and ready to explore. Few platforms embody this spirit of curiosity and exploration as powerfully as Minecraft. Dairycraft captures the essence of what makes Minecraft one of the most popular games in the world – freedom, discovery, instant feedback – and goes a step further, wrapping it around curriculum-aligned lessons.

Set in an open world with no fixed route, this is not passive learning. Students move through the landscape making choices about what comes next and connecting with concepts in a way that feels real, even in a virtual space. Rather than just memorizing facts, they’re encountering ideas in context, building understanding as they go.
The result is education with traction: real-world relevance that helps ideas take hold.

Dairycraft covers a wide range of subjects through six thoughtfully designed lessons:
Nutrition and health
Animal care and sustainable dairy farming
States of matter and food science
Renewable energy and environmental stewardship
Automated milking and smart tech
Crop farming and the food chain
Each module is built to support the Ontario curriculum, with strong backing from the Ontario dairy industry. The result is a virtual world that’s as accurate as it is engaging – one that shows modern dairy farming as a blend of care, technology and environmental responsibility.

Whether students are exploring a working farm, or learning how solar panels support milk production, every activity is grounded in real-world science and systems thinking. They come away not just with knowledge, but with a better grasp of how food, farming and sustainability interconnect.
Dairycraft helps teachers bring complex topics to life. It sparks engagement, builds skills and keeps students thinking, questioning and enjoying the learning process. It’s not just play; it’s purposeful learning, rooted in the real world.
And next time a student reaches for a glass of milk or an ice cream, they’ll understand the story behind it – the land, the animals, the people and the science that brought it there.
